COVID-19 Advisory Task Force Update: December 22, 2021

The rapid spread of the omicron variant across our community is, unfortunately, disrupting many plans this season. As this variant is spreading faster than previous strains, we are grateful that early data seems to indicate breakthrough cases among fully vaccinated people are less severe, particularly for those who have received a booster dose.

As Pastor Steve said recently, if you are six months past your last vaccination dose and haven't received a booster, please talk to your medical provider about getting this additional shot.

In addition, leaders across the Texas Medical Center agree that in times of increased community spread of COVID-19, such as we are in now, the best way to protect each other is to wear face coverings while in crowded indoor spaces. Based on this advice, the COVID-19 Advisory Task Force is recommending attendees wear a face covering while indoors at South Main.
