Our neighbors in Louisiana are recovering from Hurricane Ida. People in Haiti are in desperate need following the recent earthquake and flooding. We anticipate many refugees will arrive in Houston from Afghanistan shortly.
If you've been moved to help those whose lives have been turned upside down, please give to South Main's Disaster Relief designated fund. This fund was established in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, and has been used to provide relief following the disasters that have arisen since then.
The Missions Committee has already begun to work with our local partners here in Houston, and with CBF field personnel to determine the best ways to use your much-needed gifts toward these humanitarian efforts.
