Lenten Devotional: March 16

Published March 16, 2018 by Drew Philpot

One thing that always leads me to find God is seeing Christ-like behavior from my non-Christian friends. It can come in many different forms, such as sharing words of wisdom, showing love to someone who is hurting, or forgiving a past transgression. They become the visible representation of God to me.

I believe God puts these friends in my life to challenge me to "go and do likewise" as the Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) says. It reminds me that faith is only a part of my calling and must be followed up with good deeds; otherwise, I would be the priest or the Levite from the parable. I will always cherish my non-Christian friends and the way I find God through them.
