The Lenten Season invites those of us on this particular walk of faith - on this journey of seeking to comprehend the Christ - to contemplate deeply upon the meaning of His sacrifice and the mysteries of the intersection of divinity into human history.
Setting aside the noise of the world, we seek guidance from the testaments assembled by our forebearers grappling with the Christian imperative over two millennia, and from within the pocked walls of our own contemporary faiths and perspectives.
Such meditation is neither simple nor easy.
Yet, within the silence of our prayerful contemplation of Lent and of divine love and sacrifice, we are left humbled, awash in awe at the complexity yet simplicity of the Cross.
