Every Sunday morning, at around 8:00 AM, we gather for Manna Sunday service with our neighbors who are homeless or hungry at the Trinity Pines Chapel on the north end of the South Main campus. We share stories, coffee, breakfast, prayer requests, and encouraging words. This is a sacred time of worship and fellowship and all are welcome. Volunteer support is needed in so many ways, whether it's preparing Manna bags, coordinating supplies, or, above all, joining us on Sunday mornings to share time and love with someone who needs a friendly ear. Even if you don’t know what you could possibly do, hear the words of Christ and just, “Come and see.” (John 1:39).
On the 1st, 3rd, & 5th Wednesdays of every month, we gather from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Activities Building on the south end of the campus (next to the gym) for Manna Chess Club. This holistic ministry builds positive and lasting relationships through chess, fellowship, and sharing God's Word. It's a great opportunity to stretch your brain, make new friends, share a delicious meal, worship, and study the Bible. We are an eclectic group—some homeless, some formerly homeless, some who just love chess, and some who just need a friend. Whoever you are, and whatever you are looking for, we have a place for you. Come to the Table…. It’s your move.
Every year on Super Bowl Sunday, we host a chili cook-off and Super Bowl party in the Fellowship Hall. We also have chess, cards, and other games going on the side. We usually open the doors 30 minutes before kick-off. Volunteers are always needed, and guests are always welcome.
