Global Partners

Volunteer working with children during mission trip

In responding to ongoing and emergent needs around the world, South Main’s mission approach values both effectiveness and sustainability, as well as a dose of humility. We typically partner with community churches and trusted organizations with knowledge of the terrain where particular crises have arisen.

We’ve found that pursuing such local contacts and then crafting relationships over time allows us to be most responsive and adaptive to the urgencies at hand. We continue to build a presence in Kenya through Sodzo and in Peru via Operación San Andrés, two organizations that began in our church and which we continue to both fund and work alongside.

Operación San Andrés

Operación San Andrés is a long-term mission established in Collique, Peru, to address the health, housing, and financial needs of an impoverished community on the outskirts of Lima.

Sodzo International

Sodzo International is a mission established in Maui, Kenya, to serve the needs of some of the most vulnerable people in the world, street orphans, by treating their physical needs and working to find long-term family solutions.

Cooperative Baptist Fellowship – Global Missions

CBF–Global Missions provides support for mission-field personnel by providing aid to stabilize their long-term community projects.
