As South Main's Missions Offering is winding up on May 23, Pentecost Sunday, South Main has also been asked to work with Houston Responds on a momentous community service day on May 22, ?Pentecost Saturday.? If you'd like to be a part of this, contact J Hill at [email protected] or Jan Barkley at [email protected] then plan to show up for a quick sign-in and orientation at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 3015 N MacGregor Way between 9:00 am and 9:30 am on May 22. Coffee and donuts will be provided before we receive our work assignment and head out to work. Please come prepared to get dirty. Bring gloves if you have them. A free lunch by Boombox Taco Truck will be served starting at Noon in the parking lot at Good Hope. Come and fellowship with volunteers from across the city. The event will last until about 2:30.
